DEPARTMENT OF  MATHEMATICS, PHYSICS & COMPUTING

INTRODUCTION

Welcome to the Department of Mathematics, Physics & Computing. Our department has maintained foundations of excellence status from the beginning of all programmes offered which are vertically integrated and engages teams of undergraduate, graduate students and post Doctorial researchers as well as highly qualified personal in the cutting age research. Our instructors are highly friendly both to those taking one- mathematics or physics course for non-majors to those who are majors in physics and mathematics.

We have various Undergraduate  programmes which includes:

  1. Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (CS)
  2. Bachelor of Science in Applied Statistics With Computing(AST)
  3. Bachelor of Science in Acturialscience(ACS)
  4. Bachelor of science  (B.Sc.) with major tracks in Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science & Biophysics.

Masters  programmes (Msc):-

  1. Masters of Science in pure mathematics
  2. Masters of Science in Physics
  3. Masters of Science in Biostatistics
  4. Masters of Science in Applied Mathematics

PhD Programmes (PhD:-

  1. PhD in pure mathematics
  2. PhD in physics3.
  3. PhD in biostatistics
  4. PhD in applied mathematics

PURPOSE

The  aim  of  the Department  is  to  produce   Physicists,  Mathematicians, Statisticians, Actuaries  and  Computer  scientists  who  would  be  able  to  apply  acquired  skills,  knowledge  and  attitudes  to  areas  such  as production, service, innovation, charity, information technology,  research,  teaching  and  consulting.
