Exposure to New Techniques and Technologies: Participating in this exchange program at Indiana University provided me with exposure to novel laboratory techniques and technologies that were not
available to me in Kenya and Tanzania. This experience expanded my research skills and enhanced their competitiveness for my future career. Collaborating with fellow researchers broadened my
understanding of research methodologies and approaches, refining my own research skills. These interactions deepened my appreciation for the significance of academic research and served as
inspiration to pursue a career in the field of biology.
4. "Did the internship affect your goal to go to grad school? If so, how?"
